Dune: Awakening Now Available for All Players - Pre-load, Launch Trailer, and Soundtrack Released

The open-world, multiplayer survival game Dune: Awakening, inspired by Frank Herbert’s sci-fi masterpiece and Denis Villeneuve’s films, is now available in its full version for Deluxe and Ultimate edition owners. The game officially launches on June 10 for all players, who can pre-load it now on Steam. The game’s soundtrack, composed by Knut Avenstroup Haugen, is also available on various platforms.

Dune: Awakening is set in a parallel timeline where Paul Atreides was never born and allows players to explore the dangerous world of Arrakis alongside hundreds of other players. The game follows a classic DLC business model, with no in-game store or subscription. Funcom plans to release post-launch content in the form of complete DLCs and free content updates.

In Dune: Awakening, players must control the spice and seize control of the Landsraad to impact every player of their chosen faction. The game’s creative director, Joel Bylos, stated that the team has done its best to recreate the Arrakis of the books and films in a video game. Sam Rappaport, VP Digital at Legendary Entertainment, expressed his excitement for players to dive into a living, breathing Dune world.

Funcom is a developer and publisher of games for PC and consoles, with a track record of more than twenty released games. Legendary Entertainment is a leading media company with film, television, digital, and comics divisions dedicated to delivering content to worldwide audiences.
