Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Role Playing Game Early Access Free To PlayDoublesmith GmbH, an independent game developer and publisher, has announced its participation in GameCity 2024, a popular games convention in Vienna, Austria. Doublesmith is excited to unveil the first playable demo of their upcoming hack-and-slash action rogue-like game, Morgenstern. The game will also be featured at the STEAM Next Fest, starting on October 14th.
Morgenstern is a Single and Multiplayer rogue-like hack-and-slay adventure game developed by a team with impressive credentials, including Manhunt 2 - Lead Animator, No Rest For The Wicked - Producer, and SplitSecond - Destruction Artists. The game offers an epic medieval journey, combining the hack-and-slay experience of Survivor with the challenging difficulty of Souls-like games.
Players can unlock new weapons, spells, and abilities to enhance their characters, while the extraction mechanic requires strategic decisions on when to advance and when to retreat, adding a layer of tactical depth to the rogue-like experience. In a unique twist, when facing imminent defeat, players can spawn as a deadly pig, granting them one last chance to overcome their enemies and escape with their loot.
Morgenstern's multiplayer mode allows players to join forces with friends in cooperative mode or test their skills against other players in intense PvP battles. The game's PvE mode offers challenging encounters against AI enemies, perfect for honing skills and gathering resources.
Morgenstern will be available for wishlisting on STEAM™, and Doublesmith invites gamers to embark on an epic medieval journey like no other. For more information, visit the GameCity Expo, the developer's website, or follow Doublesmith on Facebook, Instagram, and Discord.
