Glass Cannon Unplugged, a tabletop game studio founded by video game industry veterans, has partnered with Klei Entertainment to create the official board game adaptation of the award-winning video game Don't Starve. The board game, designed by Rafał Pieczyński, known for his work on Frostpunk: The Board Game, and narrative direction by Jakub Wiśniewski, will transport 1-4 players into the treacherous world of the Constant.

Players will work together to survive in this randomly generated nightmare world, taking on the roles of iconic characters from the video game. The mechanics of the board game will emphasize player choice, dynamic combat, and open-world exploration in night and day conditions. The visual design of the game will embrace the unique, whimsical art style of the Don't Starve series.

The Kickstarter campaign for Don't Starve: The Board Game is expected to launch near the end of the 3rd quarter of 2024, and will offer a wealth of content via expansions, add-ons, and future retail releases. The campaign page will be publicly viewable on March 27 at 5 PM EST.

Klei Entertainment, based in Vancouver, Canada, is a video game studio known for creating ground-breaking games across multiple genres, such as Mark of the Ninja and Don't Starve. Glass Cannon Unplugged's first release, Frostpunk: The Board Game, has won numerous awards, including the UK Games Expo Peoples Choice Award in Best Strategic Game of 2023, the Dice Tower Seal of Excellence, and the Board Game Revolution Meeple's Choice for Best Solo Game and Best Production of 2022.
