Black Smoke Studios has announced the upcoming release of Desert Race Adventures, a strategic rally adventure game developed by the Portuguese indie team, Firedrake Games. The game is set to launch this summer on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.

Desert Race Adventures is a retro-inspired strategic adventure game with a roguelike twist, combining elements of Oregon Trail and the Dakar Rally. Players will manage their team, vehicle, and supplies as they navigate treacherous terrain across Europe and Africa. Each challenge on the road forces difficult decisions that impact the journey, with the goal of leading the pilot team to victory and achieving a high score.

Key elements of the game include managing crew and resources, such as food, fuel, and spare parts, as well as making strategic decisions during event encounters that can either propel the player forward or set them back. The game features retro-inspired visuals and multiple strategies and pilot combos to explore, ensuring a unique adventure every time.

Black Smoke Studios, a Finnish studio and publisher, is responsible for publishing Desert Race Adventures. The team consists of over 30 highly experienced professionals who share a passion for creating video games.
