No More Robots and Ragesquid have announced the release of Descenders Next, the sequel to the popular extreme sports game Descenders. The game is set to launch on April 9 on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and will also be available on Game Pass for PC and Xbox. The price of the game will be $29.99 / £24.99 / 29.99 euros.

In Descenders Next, players will be able to participate in multiple downhill sports, starting with snowboarding and mountainboarding at launch. More sports will be added in the future. The game will support up to 12 players, allowing for multiplayer action, or players can choose to ride solo. The world in Descenders Next is much larger than its predecessor, with huge biomes to explore and secret parks to discover.

The game will feature hand-crafted parks and races, as well as procedurally generated maps to ensure a unique experience for each player. There is also more control over the rider, with the ability to perform flips, barrel rolls, and grinds. Players can switch between sports to keep the gameplay fresh.

Descenders Next will feature an electronic music soundtrack from Monstercat, and players will be able to customize their rider with various clothing, kits, and boards. The game will also receive updates in the future, including new sports and other features.

A demo for Descenders Next is currently available on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest, allowing players to try out the game before its official release.
