Demo Launch of Color-A-Cube: A Relaxing Voxel Painting Game with Infinite Creative Possibilities

Color-A-Cube, a relaxing voxel painting game developed by Belgian studio AlterEyes, has just launched its demo on Steam. The demo, which includes four unique models and is also part of the Steam Next Fest from February 24 to March 3, allows players to experience the creative freedom offered by the game. The full release of Color-A-Cube is set to launch on March 21, 2025, as a free-to-play game on Steam with optional in-app purchases for exclusive packs and models.

The game combines voxel models and color-by-numbers, providing a fun and engaging painting experience with satisfying ASMR-grade sound effects and intuitive painting controls. The voxels have unique effects when painted, and the game will continue to expand with new content, shaped in part by community feedback. Planned updates include new voxel models, adjustable difficulty levels, new game modes, dioramas, an extended shop, and more surprises.

Color-A-Cube is already available in mixed reality on Meta Quest 3 & 3S for those seeking a more immersive experience. The game is developed by AlterEyes, a Belgian-based multidisciplinary development and gaming studio known for creating immersive, accessible experiences in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. Their recent title, BIG SHOTS, is a roguelite wave shooter available on PS VR2, Quest (2, 3, Pro), Steam VR, and PICO.

Players can join the Color-A-Cube community by joining the Discord server to share ideas, report bugs, and participate in discussions with other players. The full game will include a Starter Pack, which is available for free at launch and includes fun and unique voxel models waiting to be colored in the player's personal style. The game offers something for everyone, with a variety of themes and models to explore, including landscapes, animals, and abstract designs.
