DANGEN Entertainment and Mantis Games have announced a partnership to publish Deck of Haunts, a deckbuilding roguelike game set in a haunted house. Players, in the role of a malevolent mansion, build the house during the day, setting traps and protective measures, and then use a deck of cards to unleash terrors on unsuspecting humans at night. The goal is to drive the humans to madness or kill them, collecting their essence to strengthen the mansion.

Deck of Haunts is set in America in the 1970s and features a 1920s art deco mansion filled with malice and hatred. The mansion lures humans inside to feed on their fear and bodies. The game is set for release on PC in early 2025 and on consoles later in the year.

In Deck of Haunts, players craft their deck of haunts, build their mansion, and sow tension and fear in the humans who enter. The game features a day-night cycle, with the daytime spent building and preparing the mansion and the nighttime spent using cards to scare or kill the humans. The humans' essence is then harvested to expand the mansion and attract more dangerous targets.
