Decadent is an upcoming story-driven first-person shooter from Fulqrum Publishing and Incantation Games, set in a Lovecraftian horror universe. Players take on the role of John Lorn, a royal explorer and occultist, who is searching for his lost son in the Arctic while battling a mysterious parasite that threatens his sanity. The Madness system, detailed in a new trailer, increases as players encounter eldritch monstrosities and high-stress situations, affecting gameplay with visual distortions, enemy anticipation, and shaking hands. Players can choose to embrace madness for benefits, but risk losing control of their character. Decadent is set to launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is available to wishlist on Steam. Fulqrum Publishing has released over a hundred games, including Men of War and King's Bounty, while Incantation Games is a new studio formed by industry professionals with a passion for deep narratives and immersive experiences.
