Pc Games Sony Playstation Action Game Role Playing Game Early Access Indie Game Microsoft Xbox Mobile GamingNyctophile Studios, based in Istanbul, Turkey, has announced the release of its debut game, Death Relives. The game is a first-person survival horror experience that combines ancient Aztec mythology with psychological horror and is set to launch on July 25, 2025, for Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S. To celebrate the launch, the game will be available at a 15% discount for the first 10 days following release.
Death Relives follows the story of Adrian, a young man searching for his missing mother. His journey leads him into the haunting realm of Xipe Totec, the Aztec god of death, rebirth, and sacrifice. The game features iconic historical settings, such as Hernán Cortés's ship, from the 16th century, while uncovering secrets buried beneath centuries of blood and ritual.
As a first-person survival horror action game, Death Relives demands stealth, puzzle-solving, and ritual combat mechanics. Players must rely on stealth tactics and puzzle-solving to progress through the game, while combat mechanics come at a heavy price, especially when attempting to fight back against a god.
The game includes an optional mobile companion app, which acts as Adrian's phone, providing story insights, environmental hints, and dynamic interactions with Adrian's father, an AI-powered character. Players can use the app to take photos and send them to Adrian's father for help with puzzles.
Death Relives supports multiple languages, including English, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, French, Turkish, and Japanese. The game offers four difficulty levels, and players can tailor the challenge to their preference. Those who want to immerse themselves in the narrative can choose to disable jumpscares.
Nyctophile Games was founded in 2021 by Bahtiyar Ardin, who worked for multiple game studios as a technical artist and 3D artist. With other experienced professionals from the field, the team started working on their first game, Death Relives, shortly after its establishment. The first game of the studio will be released in 2025 and will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
