Dead of Darkness: Solo Developer Announces 2D Survival Horror Release for PC

Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Role Playing Game Early AccessRetrofiction Games, an independent developer, has announced that its 2D survival-horror game, Dead of Darkness, will be released on PC via Steam on January 23, 2025. The game is set in England in 1985 and follows private investigator Miles Windham as he investigates the mysterious death of his daughter on Velvet Island. Players must manage their sanity, fight or outsmart enemies, and uncover clues to reveal the island's dark secrets. The game features pixel-perfect 2D art, high-definition illustrations, and professional voice acting from a talented international cast. A demo is currently available on Steam, and Eastasiasoft will bring the game to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles at a later date. Retrofiction Games is dedicated to creating narratively-driven experiences that combine retro and contemporary styles, with a focus on horror and adventure elements.
