Dead by Daylight's 8th Anniversary: D&D Chapter, 2v8 Mode, and New Game Revealed

Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Role Playing Game Free To PlayDead by Daylight, the popular multiplayer horror game, has announced several exciting updates during its Eighth Anniversary broadcast. Two new chapters have been revealed: the Dungeons & Dragons Chapter and the Castlevania Chapter. The Dungeons & Dragons Chapter will introduce Vecna, known as The Lich, as a new Killer, and a Bard named Aestri Yazar as a new Survivor. The Castlevania Chapter will bring the gothic horror of the Castlevania franchise to Dead by Daylight later this year.
The long-awaited 2v8 Mode was also detailed, where two Killers will face off against eight Survivors on a larger Map. The mode will feature gameplay adjustments such as the replacement of Perks with a class system and the addition of Cages instead of Hooks.
In addition to these announcements, Dead by Daylight has released a brand-new game called What the Fog. This 2-person co-op roguelite game is now available for free for the first 2 million copies or can be purchased on Steam for $4.99 USD.
Fans were also given updates on previously announced games from the world of Dead by Daylight. Project T, an unnamed session-based PvE action-horror shooter, is now opening its doors to the community for exclusive news, playtests, and feedback. A new gameplay trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone was also shared, hinting at the dark, branching narrative that lies ahead.
The Castlevania Chapter's trailer gave players a small glimpse of what they can expect when the gaming franchise comes to Dead by Daylight later this year. Dead by Daylight has become a place where cult classic horror survives and thrives, having welcomed legends from TV, movies, and video games. The game boasts 60 million players globally and across all platforms, with up to 2 million players stepping into The Fog daily.
Behaviour Interactive, the largest Canadian gaming studio, is the creator of Dead by Daylight and has established itself as one of the world's leading providers of external development services. The company has partnered with many of the gaming industry's leaders, including Microsoft, Sony, EA, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Take-Two, among many others.
