Darkest Dungeon II Comes to Xbox Series X|S on July 15, 2024, with New DLC

Red Hook Studios, the creator of Darkest Dungeon, has announced that the sequel, Darkest Dungeon II, will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on July 15th, 2024. The game will include all current updates and DLC, and players can now pre-order it in the Microsoft Store for $39.99 with a launch discount of 15%. The DLC “The Binding Blade” will also be available on Xbox Series X|S, and players can purchase the Oblivion bundle, which contains the base game and DLC.

Darkest Dungeon II invites players to embark on a journey through five campaigns, each featuring their own terrifying boss and pervasive mechanics. Players can now choose from a total roster of 14 playable heroes and can engage with an extensive metagame progression hub, "The Altar of Hope," and optional thematic difficulty modifiers.

Darkest Dungeon II features all new 3D visuals in the distinctive style, a new run-based road trip structure, an enhanced version of the innovative turn-based combat system, and a metagame hub with extensive persistent upgrades. The game first released into Early Access on the Epic Games Store in October 2021 and has seen a regular cadence of major content and feature updates since then.

Red Hook Studios is an independent video game developer based in Vancouver, BC, founded by industry veterans Chris Bourassa and Tyler Sigman. The critically acclaimed Darkest Dungeon was the company's first product and has sold over 6 million copies. The 25-person-strong team just completed the PC version of Darkest Dungeon II, which was released on May 8, 2023.
