The roguelike horde survival game Dark Samurai, developed by Onigiri, is set to feature in the Endless Replayability Fest on Steam starting on May 13, 2024. In the game, players will survive in a feudal Japan overrun by demons, with the option to play as a samurai or an archer. The demo, which is now available, features two playable characters, seven distinct weapons, and thirty unique upgrades, with additional permanent upgrades available after each run.

Onigiri, an independent video game development studio founded in 2023 by Jonas Bötel and Sönke Seidel, is committed to transparency in its development process. The studio's Trello board provides updates on work-in-progress tasks related to Dark Samurai.

In Dark Samurai, players will face an endless horde of demons in a procedurally generated world, with the option to team up with other players in online co-op mode. The game features permanent progression, quests, and a persistent open world.

The demo is a small preview of what's to come in the full game, and Onigiri encourages players to follow along with the development process through the Trello board. Dark Samurai promises to deliver a challenging and engaging experience for fans of roguelike and horde survival games.

Players can get a taste of the game now by downloading the demo on Steam, and they can stay up-to-date on the latest news and updates by following Dark Samurai on social media or visiting the Onigiri website.
