Independent game developer Takayakata has announced that his latest game, Aden, will be released exclusively on Steam worldwide on December 12, 2024. Aden is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up game set in a world where strange beings known as purgers kill with an unknown purpose. The people live in resigned apathy until a woman named Toaka drops out of the sky and fights back using the power of dance.

The game features cute pixel graphics and upbeat synth tunes, creating a lively atmosphere for players to enjoy. Aden offers a variety of enemies with unique attack patterns that players must dodge, as well as boss battles that require players to move in rhythm with the bosses’ theme music to defeat them. The game includes various difficulty levels, making it accessible to players of all kinds.

Aden will be available for download on Steam for 980 JPY / 8.99 USD. Takayakata is a Tokyo-based independent game developer who has previously created other pixel-based side-scrolling and shooting games, such as Yumecore. Aden will support Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) languages.
