Brace Yourself Games, the creators of the popular rhythm-based roguelike game Crypt of the NecroDancer, have announced the release of a significant DLC expansion called Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY. The expansion will be available on March 13, 2024, after a year of early access, for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY brings online cross-platform multiplayer to the game, allowing players to team up with friends in cooperative mode or compete against each other in PVP matches. This much-requested feature aims to enhance the overall gaming experience.

The expansion introduces three new characters, each with unique abilities. Klarinetta wields a massive Zweihänder to strike down enemies, Chaunter possesses foes and uses their powers against them, and Suzu is an agile ninja-like oni with an unstoppable dash attack. These new characters offer fresh ways to play the game and cater to various player preferences.

Additionally, Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY provides full-fledged mod support and a built-in mod portal, empowering the community to design new levels and explore limitless creations. The mod portal will foster a vibrant and creative modding community, ensuring that the game remains fresh and engaging for players.

Crypt of the NecroDancer: SYNCHRONY will be available for $6.99 USD starting March 13, 2024.
