Having raised over 50% of its $128,802 funding goal in the first week, the project demonstrates the strong support and anticipation from fans of Gary Winnick and Ron Gilbert’s cult classic adventure, Maniac Mansion. Cronela’s Mansion, reminiscent of Lucasfilm’s SCUMM adventures, offers open-world gameplay with puzzles, colorful characters, and dynamic dialogue.
Backers can choose from various editions, including limited-run physical NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, and GBA-compatible cartridges. The standard edition, limited to 2,000 copies, features a game cartridge, manual, keychain, and a game map poster. The Collector’s Edition offers exclusive bonus items for adventure gaming enthusiasts and collectors.
Straynus expressed gratitude for the support and positive feedback from those who have played the classic demos on their old televisions. Cronela’s Mansion is set for release digitally on PC and Switch in November 2025, with physical versions compatible with NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.

Straynus is an independent game studio based in Menorca, Spain, developing Cronela’s Mansion since 2020.
