Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Early AccessImage Power, a Polish video game publisher and developer, has announced that Creature Lab will be released on Xbox on August 30th, 2024. The game was made possible through a successful Kickstarter campaign, with over 200 backers supporting its development. Creature Lab is a first-person mad scientist simulator that lets players experience the life of a modern Frankenstein, conducting crazy experiments, nurturing new creatures, and attaching various body parts to them.
In Creature Lab, players assume the role of a genius yet wicked scientist, tasked with establishing a hideout and conducting experiments. Players must mix mutagens, analyze their properties, and grow DNA-based body parts to attach to their test subjects. The game features complex resource and inventory management, a strategy element for raids on the city, and a fear mechanic that lowers the chance of the hideout being discovered.
Creature Lab includes thousands of different mutagens to discover, unique body parts to grow and attach, interactive monster and potion encyclopedias, and a single-player campaign mode and sandbox mode. Players can manage their inventory, expand their lab, and ensure their hideout is safe while avoiding military retaliation. The game was previously released on PlayStation and is now coming to Xbox.
Image Power, the developer of Creature Lab, is a Polish company that started as a concept art and digital painting school in 2012. In 2019, the company expanded its business to game production and publishing, debuting on the NewConnect market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange in April 2021. Image Power focuses on low-budget productions, including simulators and similar genres, and plans to publish 3-4 titles per year for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
