Crytivo and VEOM Studio have recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for their much-awaited game, The Crust. The Crust is a base building, automation, and management simulation game that focuses on moon colonization. Players will step into the role of a director, responsible for paving the way for humanity's survival on the moon.

The game features automation mechanics, where players can plan, construct, and maintain a base capable of producing valuable resources and ensuring the survival of their colonists. The automation aspect involves using a network of conveyor belts and drones to automate the base.

Colonist management is another critical feature of The Crust. Players must ensure that their colonists are well-fed, have access to medical care, and are generally content. The game includes multilevel research trees in Fundamental, Engineering, and Social, which will help players unlock new technologies and advance the colony.

The Crust offers three levels of gameplay: the surface, the underground, and planetary view. On the surface, players can craft vehicle hangars and power supplies. Underground, they can mine and build machinery. From the planetary view, players can send rovers and cargo trucks to various waypoints.

Trade is an essential aspect of The Crust. Players can trade resources with different factions, growing their individual and global reputations based on how quickly they can fulfill contracts. They can purchase needed materials and sell off surplus resources.

The Crust offers two modes of gameplay: story mode and sandbox mode. The story mode offers a more structured experience, while the sandbox mode provides players with more freedom to experiment and create.

Fans of Satisfactory and Dyson Sphere Program will enjoy the automation aspects in The Crust, as well as the trading and colonist management mechanics. The Kickstarter campaign is now live, and backers can support the game and gain access to exclusive rewards.
