Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing Game Early Access Free To Play SportsBigosaur, an indie game studio from Serbia, has announced the release date of its upcoming basketball roguelike deckbuilder, Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder. The game will be available on Steam for Windows PC on July 24, 2025. Fans of the game can check out the demo and wishlist it on Steam now.
Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder combines the deckbuilding and roguelike elements of Balatro with basketball, where each basketball term is a card. Players can play passes, shots, steals, rebounds, and blocks, substitute players, call timeouts, and challenge the calls, just like in the big leagues. The game was inspired by the developer's love for basketball and hometown superstars Nikola Jokić, Bogdan Bogdanović, Boban Marjanović, and more.
The game features two different game modes, "Elimination" and "Classic." In Elimination mode, players take on tournaments in true roguelike style, while in Classic mode, players can lose some games but have to qualify for the playoffs to compete for the Championship title. Clutchtime's audio features unique mixing, with the developer attending live games to record audio, mixing it into the soundtrack to give the feel of a live basketball arena.
Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder is designed so that anybody, regardless of basketball knowledge, can easily pick up the game and understand how to play. The game's key features include getting one's head in the game, two modes to take on, never letting the opponent know one's next move, and an immersive audio experience.
