Virtual Reality Gaming Early Access Indie Game Free To PlayARVORE, the Brazilian studio known for its innovative work in VR games and storytelling, has announced its latest project: Clawball, a multiplayer soccer game featuring cats. In this fast-paced party sport game, directed by Ana Ribeiro, players can participate in 3v3 soccer matches, controlling cat personas to score goals using their paws and claws.
Clawball will be available for free on Meta Quest Applab in early access starting in October 2024, with a full release planned for 2025. Players can join the closed Beta through ARVORE's Discord server. The game offers competitive gameplay and rich social interaction, with a "playground" lobby for exploration and meeting other players. Customization is a key feature, with a variety of cosmetics such as headgear, eyewear, and shirts available for players to personalize their cat-personas.
Ana Ribeiro, the Game Director, expressed her excitement for the project, highlighting the inspiration behind the game and the joy of playtesting sessions with the team. ARVORE is an Emmy Award-winning studio known for its acclaimed titles, including The Line, YUKI, and the Pixel Ripped series. The studio has received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Lion at the Venice Film Festival, a DICE Award Nomination, and the 2023 Best VR/XR Game Award at the BIG Festival.
