Hooded Horse, a publisher of strategic games, has announced a significant content update for its highlands-themed colony sim, Clanfolk, developed by MinMax Games. The update includes new map generation technology, featuring rivers, shorelines, and new construction options like bridges and piers. Additionally, beavers and swimming have been added to the game, along with a new negotiation system that requires players to use diplomacy and intimidation to navigate complex political events.

The negotiation system introduces two new skills: persuasion and intimidation. Players must adapt to the flow of conversation to come out on top, or risk a brawl. The update also includes weather improvements, such as storms, clouds, and lightning.

The Clanfolk world is now more alive than ever, with these improvements and more. The game is available on PC via Steam Early Access for $29.99, and players can access the full patch notes on the Clanfolk website. The game will be available at a 40% discount until May 5, 2024.
