Playtonic Friends and Castle Pixel have released the Open Beta demo for their upcoming cozy life-sim, Cattle Country, on Steam. The Open Beta includes new features based on community feedback from the Closed Beta, such as prairie pets, mining expansions, and tool upgrades. Players can create their character, manage a pre-built ranch, interact with characters, and explore early features.

Cattle Country is a Wild West life-sim where players build and craft their homestead, interact with townsfolk, and venture into the mines. The game features various activities, such as fishing, crafting, and hunting. Players can also romance 18 characters and uncover buried treasure. The Open Beta allows players to provide feedback on their experience, helping shape the final product.

Cattle Country is developed by Castle Pixel and published by Playtonic Friends, known for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Playtonic Friends has helped bring several indie titles to wider audiences, including B.P.M, Demon Turf, Blossom Tales 2, and Lil Gator Game. Castle Pixel is a small indie dev team based in the US and Canada, known for Blossom Tales and Rex Rocket.
