Bokeh Game Studio's Slitterhead: Revisiting Inspiration for a Chaotic World

Bokeh Game Studio, founded by game developer Keiichiro Toyama in 2020, has released the first in a series of behind-the-scenes videos titled "Kowlong Express: Bringing Forgotten Fragments into Slitterhead". The video follows Toyama as he revisits locations that inspired the game's setting, "Kowlong", a city filled with energy, dynamism, and chaos. This battle action-adventure game, Slitterhead, casts players as the "Hyoki", an entity devoid of memory and physical form, whose only motive is to eradicate the monstrous beings known as "Slitterheads" disguised as humans.

Set in the vibrant neon-lit cityscape of Kowlong, players must seek out allies among humans known as "Rarities", infiltrate dangerous organizations, and engage in battles harnessing the power of blood. As the suspenseful drama unfolds, players delve into the mystery behind Hyoki's existence and the appearance of the Slitterheads.

Slitterhead is developed and published digitally on PS4™, PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Epic Game Store and Steam by Bokeh Game Studio. The title will be released on Nov. 8 for $49.99 digitally and features a physical PS5™ Day 1 Edition in North America distributed by XSEED Games with a MSRP of $59.99, including a physical copy of the game, a CD of original songs from the game composed by Akira Yamaoka, an artbook, and a sticker sheet. This title has been rated M for “Mature” by the ESRB.
