Belgian Game Awards 2024: Baldur's Gate 3 Sweeps Game of the Year and Audience Choice

The Belgian Game Awards, organized by FLEGA and BelgianGames, recently announced the winners for this year's show. The ceremony celebrated achievements in various categories, including XR Game of the Year, Best Applied Game, Best Narrative, Best Audio, Best Visual Art, Best Game Design, Best Multiplayer, Student Game of the Year, Most-Anticipated Game, Best Tech Provider, Changemaker of the Year, and Most-Promising Start-Up Studio.

Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3 was the big winner, taking home the Game of the Year and Audience Award. The game has been praised globally for its epic D&D-inspired RPG experience. Other notable winners include Bolt Blaster Games' GAZZLERS for XR Game of the Year, Thomas Waterzooi's Please, Touch The Artwork 2 for Best Applied Game, and Triangle Factory's Breachers for Best Multiplayer.

Maracas Studio was recognized as the Most-Promising Start-Up Studio, while BrainBugs won the Changemaker of the Year award for their focus on using games to address social and ethical questions. The event also featured a week-long Steam Event to celebrate this year's nominees and showcase Belgium's gaming talent.

FLEGA and BelgianGames are dedicated to promoting and supporting the Belgian games industry, hosting events like the Belgian Game Awards to highlight the creativity and innovation of Belgian game developers on national and international stages.
