In a surprising turn of events, developers Gabe Cuzillo, Maxi Boch, and Bennett Foddy have managed to get their notoriously laid-back publisher, Devolver Digital, to commit to releasing Baby Steps on September 8, 2025, before the much-anticipated GTA 6.

Baby Steps is a physics-based walking simulator that follows the story of Nate, an unemployed young man who discovers his ability to put one foot in front of the other, leading to extraordinary human connections. The game features a world shrouded in mystery that comes alive with a dynamic soundtrack built up of four hundred and twenty beats and vibes.

Players will explore a mountain-sized mountain at their own pace, taking in the sights, falling in love with the local fauna, and finding meaning in a wasted life. The game boasts fully-simulated physics-based walking, a fully dynamic onesie soilage system, and non-collectible hats.

Baby Steps is set to release on PC and PlayStation 5, and more information about the game can be found on the official website, babystepsgame.com. This game promises to be a unique and introspective experience, offering players a chance to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the world around them, one step at a time.
