The popular action RPG, Atlas Fallen, has received a massive free update titled "Reign of Sand," offering a wide range of new features and improvements. This update is available now on PC and consoles, aiming to elevate the gameplay experience for both returning players and newcomers.

Reign of Sand brings fresh content, including a new area called Source, a twisted divine realm filled with new challenges and powerful Wraith abilities. Players will encounter formidable new enemies, such as the bulky Transmuter and the agile Morpher. The update also introduces New Game +, allowing players to restart with all their progression, gear, and abilities, and discover new enemies, mechanics, and progression systems.

A new difficulty mode, "Nyaal's Nightmare," is exclusive to New Game +, offering the ultimate challenge. Players can customize their playstyle with 25 new perks and abilities, and engage in dynamic Corruption Breaches for intense combat and special rewards. The introduction and voice acting have been reworked, with new voice actors, including Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI, Warframe) as the male playable character.

The update includes new armors, customization options, improved VFX, UI, sounds, and various fixes and enhancements. While progress can be carried over from the old character, starting a new playthrough is recommended for the optimal experience. Returning players can download the update for free, and newcomers will have it included with the base game.
