Action Game Indie Game Nintendo Switch Pc Games Role Playing Game Early Access Free To Play Virtual Reality Gaming Mobile Gaming Microsoft XboxMindscape and Cosmocat Games have announced the release of the action-platformer game, Astral Flux, on Nintendo Switch, accompanied by a significant free update called Submerged for both Nintendo Switch and Steam. Astral Flux is a roguelite action platformer set in procedurally generated levels with interstellar adventures, offering unlimited replayability and stunning pixel art.
The Submerged update introduces underwater exploration, allowing players to discover sunken treasures, avoid dangerous sea creatures, and uncover hidden secrets in the depths of the sea. The Nintendo Switch and Steam versions of the game and the update will be available for download on October 31st.
Mindscape, established in 1991, has been a leader in the development, marketing, publishing, and distribution of video games for over 30 years. They have distributed popular brands such as The Smurfs, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Bluey, Five Nights at Freddy's, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, and Story of Seasons. They are also known for publishing and developing games like the Windstorm games, Pool Party, Speed 3: Grand Prix, Prince of Persia 3D, Myst, Riven, Life in Willowdale: Farm Adventures, Games Advent Calendar, and Unpetrified.
Cosmocat Games is an independent game studio founded in 2014 by Canadian developer, musician, and sound designer Adam "Snug" McLellan. In 2019, he teamed up with Dutch developer and artist Nathan van der Stoep, and they have successfully collaborated on Astral Flux. Since 2024, the duo has officially worked under the Cosmocat label, combining their skills to create challenging, action-packed games with a distinctive retro flair.
