Arzette Speeds into Games Done Quick Charity Event and Community Contest

Limited Run Games, a publisher of physical video games, has announced its support for the upcoming Summer Games Done Quick (GDQ) event, where the platformer Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore will be featured for the first time. GDQ is a series of video game marathons where speedrunners compete to raise money for charity, having raised over $45 million to date.

In addition to Arzette's inclusion in the GDQ event, Limited Run Games has launched a community speedrunning contest for the game. From June 18 to July 9, players can record their speedruns and submit them for a chance to win a signed Collector's Edition of Arzette and a $500 cash prize. Two runners-up will receive a signed copy of the game.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a popular platformer that pays homage to the CD-i generation, with tight gameplay, nostalgic visuals, and a hilarious voice cast. Players control Arzette as she saves the Kingdom of Faramore from the evil demon king, Daimur. The game has received critical acclaim since its launch in February.

Limited Run Games will also be re-listing their CD-i style controllers, which have been popular with collectors. The controllers will be sold with a Steam code and will go on sale from July 5, with limited quantities available.

Arzette is available on Steam, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. For more information on Summer Games Done Quick, visit their website.
