ARK: Aquatica DLC Launches July 15, Introducing Underwater ARK and New Creatures

Snail Games, the developer of the popular dinosaur-survival game ARK: Survival Evolved, has announced the release of its new DLC, ARK: Aquatica. The DLC will be available exclusively for PC players of ARK: Survival Evolved starting July 15, 2025.

ARK: Aquatica is a special DLC designed and created by Studio Sirens to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of ARK: Survival Evolved, which was launched on Steam in 2015. The new DLC introduces the first submerged ARK, with above-water islands, challenging players with new survival mechanics, extreme environmental hazards, a huge explorable map area, and unique gameplay elements.

The underwater biome adds 21 new tameable creatures, 74 new Engrams (including 7 tek Engrams), and underwater survival features like air pockets and propulsion vehicles. Players can now explore the depths of the ocean and interact with its diverse marine life, adding a new dimension to the ARK: Survival Evolved experience.

Studio Sirens, founded in 2024, is a development team focused on creating innovative gameplay systems, crafting bold new IP, and delivering high-quality DLC for the ARK franchise. The studio's gameplay-first approach and technical precision blend seamlessly with its narrative ambition, bringing immersive worlds to life.
