Argonaut Games Returns with Croc Legend of the Gobbos Remaster

Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing Game Nintendo Switch Sony Playstation Microsoft XboxArgonaut Games, the legendary studio founded by Jez San OBE in 1982, is making a comeback after a 20-year hiatus. Known for developing groundbreaking titles such as Starglider, Starglider 2, Star Fox, and Croc Legend of the Gobbos, Argonaut helped define the technological foundations of the games industry. The studio is now relaunching as a boutique publisher, with a planned slate of classic Argonaut IP and original titles for current and retro-gaming platforms.
Their first project is a console and PC remaster of Croc Legend of the Gobbos, their 1997 multi-million-selling hit. The remaster will feature enhanced HD graphics, updated modern control mechanics, and a nostalgic, fun, and authentic gameplay experience. Additionally, retro-gaming fans will enjoy the Crocipedia, an extensive digital museum containing long-lost development assets.
Gary Sheinwald, Co-CEO of Argonaut Games, and Mike Arkin, Co-CEO, expressed their excitement about the future and the opportunity to honor the original game's legacy while introducing it to a new audience. Jez San OBE, the original founder, also shared his enthusiasm about the revival, emphasizing Argonaut's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in gaming.
Baron Dante, the villain from the original Croc Legend of the Gobbos, will return in the remaster, promising a challenging experience for players.
