Stardock Entertainment, Oxide Games, and Xbox Game Studios have released a significant update for the turn-based strategy game Ara: History Untold. Version 1.4, titled the "Living Strategy Update," introduces new features, enhancements, and improvements based on community feedback.

Key updates include the Living Strategy View, which combines detailed and strategic overviews for easier city, army, and resource management. The Advanced Map Generator now features twice as many strategically distinct regions per map size, with improved resource distribution and starting positions. Strategy AI Player v2.0 offers more nuanced decisions and optimized resource usage for better competition.

The update also reduces micromanagement, allowing citizens to automatically select items based on their needs. Battle System Improvements offer deeper combat mechanics, and Graphics Engine Optimization reduces GPU usage and increases framerate stability. Simulation Speed Enhancements and Gameplay and Balance Enhancements further contribute to a smoother playing experience.
