APICO's Final Update: A Hive of Industry Brings Automation, Pets, and More

Indie Game Pc Games Nintendo Switch Free To PlayThe beekeeping simulation game, APICO, has received its final update, version 4.0: A Hive of Industry, for PC and Nintendo Switch. This free update includes new automation machines, such as Hoppers, Shredders, and Sprinklers, which can be crafted at the Crystal Workbench. A new resource, Honeycore Crystals, can be found using a resonance meter and melted down in the forge to create crystal items. Players can also acquire pets, including a tiny dinosaur, to accompany them on their adventures.
Two new seasonal events, Hivemas and Hallowbeen, have been added, along with ten new quests, new decor, paints, environmental events, and bees. A new 100% completion surprise is also available for dedicated beekeepers. To celebrate the final update, APICO is available at a 60% discount on Steam as part of the Birthday Bundle, which includes the base game, updates 2.0 through 4.0, and four bee-autiful OSTs.
APICO is a game that combines resource gathering, biology, and minigames, teaching players about beekeeping and the importance of pollinators. The game features unique crafting and beekeeping minigames, cross-breeding, multiple biomes, and a chill soundtrack. A portion of the game's profits goes towards bee conservation.
APICO is available on PC via Steam, Epic Game Store, Humble Game, itch.io, Utomik, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One and Series S|X for $19.99 USD. Update 3.0: What Lies Beeneath and Update 4.0: A Hive of Industry are available for free on Nintendo Switch. The APICO Bee-parture OST is now available on Steam and other music platforms.
