The metroidvania game, Anima Flux, has released a new demo on Steam that offers enhanced combat mechanics, an improved guide system, and a more immersive gameplay experience. The update includes new abilities for the Swordsman and Archer characters, such as the Stagger Attack and Rebound Attack, as well as empowered special attacks that fill a gauge with certain conditions.
The guide system has been improved to help players learn the controls, and the gameplay experience now features automatic aiming, button buffering, and gamepad vibration options. The Rage Mode has also been rebalanced to allow for longer durations without stunning enemies.
Anima Flux is a co-op metroidvania game set in a dystopian space city invaded by mutants. Players control two elite soldiers with unique abilities and skills, exploring grim locations and building boss-fight strategies together. The game features stunning hand-drawn animated cutscenes and a retro sci-fi aesthetic.
The demo is available now on Steam, and the game is planned for release on PC, Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch in Q4 of 2024. The official website and Discord server are also available for interested players.
