The development team behind Anima Flux, a co-op Metroidvania game, has announced that the updated demo for the game is now available on Steam. The full game is set to release in Q4 of 2024 on PC, Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

In Anima Flux, players take control of two genetically enhanced soldiers who are part of a theocratic dictatorial regime's efforts to save the last human city on a space ark from a mutant invasion. The game features a co-op mode, where players can team up with a friend to explore the game's world and take on challenges together. If a player's co-op partner is not available, they can switch to single player mode.

The game's key features include a co-op Metroidvania experience, a mind-blowing dystopian story, hand-drawn animated cutscenes, and a unique visual style that is inspired by 80-90s retro sci-fi aesthetics. The updated demo includes improvements to the combat system, lore entries, shop balancing, and localization updates.

Anima Flux has a planned release date of Q4 2024 and will be available on PC, Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. The demo is currently available on Steam, and players can join the official Discord server for updates and discussions about the game.
