Albion Online, a popular fantasy sandbox MMORPG, has released its first major content update for 2025, titled "Rogue Frontier." This update introduces a new faction, the Smugglers, and brings new activities, rewards, and market systems to the Outlands.

Players can now establish bases in Smuggler's Dens, located in the Outlands, and participate in Smuggler Activities to earn themed rewards. The Smuggler's Network offers strategic trade opportunities, and a new Bank Overview feature allows players to see where all their items are stored in the game world.

Three new Crystal Weapons, each with powerful spells, have been added, along with a new Albion Journal category for Creatures. The update also includes two developer talks on the new features and detailed patch notes.

Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG set in the medieval fantasy world of Albion, where players can define their own roles and interact with others in a player-driven world. The game features a "you are what you wear" system, with each item crafted, enemy slain, and territory conquered having effects and consequences.

Sandbox Interactive, the game's developer, is a studio based in Berlin, Germany, that focuses on creating games that prioritize player experience and interaction. The studio has expanded from a team of three to over 90 employees since its founding in 2012.
