CULT Games and Pawsmonaut Games have announced the upcoming release of AETHUS, a story-driven sci-fi survival game coming to Steam in 2025. In AETHUS, players take on the role of Maeve, a mining engineer on the run from the corrupt mega-corporation, Astral Resource Corporation (ARC). The game is set in a dystopian underground environment, where players must explore the remnants of a failed mining expedition and uncover a corporate conspiracy.

The game features laser-blast mining in a handcrafted alien world, where players can drill, scavenge, and rebuild as they navigate decaying infrastructure and living terrain. Players can also build their outpost and grow their own future by unearthing blueprints hidden in the depths of AETHUS, which allows them to expand their habitats and build new furniture.

AETHUS is a fully voiced narrative about family, grief, and resistance, and players must decide how far they are willing to go for the truth.
